DVD launch
We are very pleased to announce the launch of our promotional DVD. This features video footage of us in action with Lloyds TSB, The Orange Studio, Open University and the team at Media Content Lab, who produced the DVD for us. It also gives succinct information about the benefits of this approach, how it can work with needs-based training, and some scintillating images of Barbados!

Ideal for HR managers, trainers, event organizers, or anyone who would like a clearer idea of what a drumming workshop actually looks like and how it could work within their own company or project.

Special thanks to Rebecca Ashby and Jon Lewis for all their hard work, and to Bob Calver for giving everyone time to come and play drums with us!

Fun with Britannia and Longden Associates
Our long and successful association with Midlands training company, Longden Associates, continued in early December when they invited us to provide a grand finale to two days of teambuilding they were organizing for Britannia at Keele University.

Arriving in the snow and fog, we were impressed to discover that the 60 strong group of Britannia delegates had spent their two days in outdoor pursuits, enjoying the great range of team activities Longden are well-known for. Although they had really enjoyed themselves, they looked particularly pleased about spending the last hour or two in the warmth of Keele Hall for our drumming extravaganza!

It wasn't long before the drums were rolling. People responded wonderfully to the mix of humour, focus and determination to succeed that we like to inject - and what a band they became! Carole Longden said to us afterwards, “It's extraordinary how you manage to get everyone's absolute attention, to see the look of concentration on their faces”.

When the time was up and there was a collective moan, we knew we had done our job well – that the drums had done their job well! Congratulations to all who attended for being such great fun, and of course to Longdens for their highly successful event.

Aquarius Conference, Birmingham
Over 100 counselors with the alcohol and drug abuse counseling service, Aquarius, got a chance to let their hair down with us recently when we were invited to add some fun & vitality to their annual conference.

The normally quiet Quakers' Woodbrooke Centre in south Birmingham was filled with the sound of drumming and singing as the group threw themselves wholeheartedly into the experience. Even the venue's porters & receptionists wanted to take part!

Director of Birmingham Aquarius, Annette Fleming, wrote to us afterwards, “Many, many thanks for such a fun inspirational workshop. It was even better than I hoped for. People really enjoyed it and it was just what we all needed.”

For people in what must often be an intense, difficult job, we hopefully provided not only some light relief, but also an experience of working together as a creative, mutually supportive group. Annette was particularly pleased that the more senior national directors joined in, playing drums as enthusiastically as everyone else. What a healthy message for the organization as a whole that it can work as such a united team.
